FAQ

Answers before your first step.

Short, clear answers on sleep apnea, CPAP therapy, masks and oxygen therapy.

What is the difference between the online test and a home sleep test?

The online test is a screening questionnaire that can indicate an increased risk. A home sleep test records physiological data during sleep, and the results need professional interpretation.

Can a CPAP device and mask be covered by HZZO (the Croatian Health Insurance Fund)?

Coverage depends on the medical indication, current HZZO rules and the recommendation of the responsible doctor. Contact us and we will explain the current procedure.

How do I choose the right CPAP mask?

The choice depends on how you breathe, your sleeping position, face shape, therapy pressure and personal comfort. The right size and a good seal matter as much as the mask type.

When is an oxygen concentrator needed?

Oxygen therapy is prescribed by a doctor after an appropriate assessment. The concentrator is used at the prescribed flow and duration, with regular checks and maintenance of the equipment.

What should I do if my CPAP mask leaks or feels uncomfortable?

Check the position and size of the mask and the condition of the cushion, without overtightening the straps. If the leak or discomfort persists, contact us to check the fit; do not change the prescribed pressure yourself.

How often should CPAP supplies be cleaned and replaced?

Clean the mask, humidifier and tubing according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and regularly check and replace filters and worn parts as instructed or when visibly worn. The exact schedule depends on the device and how it is used.

Can I travel with a CPAP device?

Generally, yes. Take the device in your hand luggage, check the power supply and the carrier’s rules, and bring a medical certificate if needed. For in-flight use, check in advance whether the airline allows your specific model.
